NCB Completes the Largest Capital Increase in Its History, Appoints Two Deputy Chief Executive Officers
National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) has completed the private placement of 1 billion shares, officially increasing its charter capital to VND 29.280 trillion, marking the largest capital increase in the Bank’s history. Completing the capital increase three years ahead of the roadmap under the restructuring plan not only helps NCB strengthen its financial capacity, but also affirms the right direction that the Bank has consistently pursued over the past five years.
Leading the entire sector in capital increase speed, determined to complete the restructuring plan ahead of schedule
The State Securities Commission has issued a notice approving the results of the private placement of 1 billion shares at VND 10,000 per share by National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) to 22 professional investors. With total proceeds from this offering amounting to VND 10,000 billion, NCB officially increased its charter capital from nearly VND 19.280 trillion to nearly VND 29.280 trillion.
All proceeds raised from the offering will be used by NCB to supplement capital for credit extension activities, serving the production, business and consumption needs of corporate and individual customers during the 2026-2027 period.

NCB’s continuous charter capital increases demonstrate its determination to gradually complete the approved restructuring plan ahead of schedule
This is the fourth consecutive capital increase within five years (2021-2026) and also the largest capital increase in the Bank’s operating history. Compared with 2021, NCB’s charter capital has increased more than sevenfold - the strongest capital growth rate in the entire Vietnamese banking sector over the past five years.
Completing the capital increase plan three years ahead of the roadmap under the restructuring plan not only demonstrates NCB’s strong momentum and determination to complete the approved restructuring plan ahead of schedule and effectively, while also achieving its new strategic objectives, but also reflects the confidence of shareholders and investors in the Bank’s long-term development strategy and bright future.
With its new capital scale, NCB officially joins the group of banks with high charter capital in the market, fully meeting the capital adequacy ratio requirements prescribed by the State Bank of Vietnam, while creating an important foundation for breakthrough growth in the next stage.

Ms. Dao Mai Huong holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education (CFVG), National Economics University. Ms. Huong has more than 21 years of experience in the finance and banking sector, having held many important positions at major credit institutions and enterprises such as Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, MB Shinsei Finance Company Limited, and Post and Telecommunication Finance Company Limited – PTF. Ms. Huong is currently Director of Credit Management Division at NCB.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NCB
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy is currently Director of Financial Management Division at NCB. Ms. Thuy holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance Economics from Paris Dauphine University, France. Ms. Thuy is also an accounting and auditing professional certified by ACCA and CPA Australia. With more than 22 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, Ms. Thuy has held various senior leadership positions at credit and financial institutions such as Holborn Capital Partners, Deutsche Bank Vietnam, Hong Leong Bank Vietnam, OCB, HSBC Vietnam and Ernst & Young Vietnam.
The fact that two highly capable and experienced leaders, who have accompanied NCB throughout its comprehensive restructuring journey, continue to take on higher roles in NCB’s new development chapter demonstrates the right and effective direction of the strategy that the Bank is consistently pursuing. At the same time, it reflects the strong determination of the entire NCB system to accomplish the challenging objectives that have been set.
Completing the charter capital increase to VND 29.280 trillion while consolidating the management team - two core factors creating momentum for the development phase - is a concrete affirmation of capability through specific action, in the context that NCB has entered a strong acceleration phase with its “early fruits” right from the first quarter of 2026.
As of March 31, 2026, the Bank recorded many business indicators reaching up to 90% of the annual plan. Total assets reached nearly VND 173.504 trillion, up 6% compared with the end of 2025. NCB’s total customer loans reached more than VND 116.876 trillion, growing by 20% compared with December 31, 2025. Total capital mobilization at the end of the first quarter of 2026, including customer deposits and issuance of valuable papers, also recorded growth of around 6% compared with the end of 2025, reaching nearly VND 139.110 trillion.
The Bank’s pre-tax profit reached more than VND 216 billion, growing by 43% compared with the first quarter of 2025. Core business activities all recorded strong growth. According to the plan, NCB is committed to using all profits to implement the restructuring plan roadmap in order to complete the restructuring plan ahead of schedule and move towards sustainable development.
