NCB ANNOUNCEMENT ON UPDATING VALID IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS FOR CORPORATE CUSTOMERS

n compliance with Circular No. 17/2024/TT-NHNN and to enhance security and ensure uninterrupted transactions, National Citizen Bank (NCB) respectfully informs its corporate customers about the update of identification documents (ID) effective from January 1, 2025, for individuals affiliated with enterprises in transactions with NCB, as follows:

* According to the Law on Citizen Identification No. 26/2023/QH15: From January 1, 2025, identity cards (9-digit and 12-digit types) will no longer be valid.

* According to Circular No. 17/2024/TT-NHNN: From January 1, 2025, corporate customers will not be able to perform payment or withdrawal transactions on payment accounts via any channel (in-person or electronic banking) if the identification documents of affiliated individuals are no longer valid.

Therefore, to ensure uninterrupted transactions, NCB recommends that customers coordinate with the Bank to complete the following:

1. Applicable subjects*:

- Legal Representative

- Chief Accountant/Person in charge of accounting

- Authorized persons of the Legal Representative or Chief Accountant

- Individuals authorized to use the payment account, and users of electronic banking services

(*): collectively referred to as "Individuals"

2. Implementation details:

- All individuals listed above must update valid identification documents with current validity.

- Individuals who registered using identity cards (9-digit or 12-digit types), and Vietnamese nationals who used passports, must update their valid ID documents before January 1, 2025.

- Foreign nationals must update proof of valid residence in Vietnam before January 1, 2025.

- From January 1, 2025, if affiliated individuals’ ID documents are no longer valid, NCB will temporarily suspend money transfer and withdrawal transactions at counters and via electronic banking for corporate customers.

3. Instructions for updating:

Customers can update identification documents at NCB branches/transaction offices as follows:

Step 1: Collect valid identification documents of affiliated individuals.

Step 2: The customer and relevant individuals complete the identification update form, following specific instructions at NCB branches/transaction offices.
