Capture Vibrant Moments with NCB Visa “Pride” Card this National Day

There is nothing more beautiful than the sound of peace and the vibrant hues of the red flag with a golden star fluttering across every street on National Day. Alongside that vivid red canvas, the NCB Visa “Pride” card becomes a striking highlight in commemorative frames celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, September 2.

Visiting Hanoi in late August and early September, any visitor would surely feel “fortunate”: fortunate to enjoy the pleasant weather, fortunate to witness every street resounding with the joyful melody of peace, and fortunate to experience once-in-a-lifetime historical moments. The city is adorned in brilliant red with flags flying proudly across every corner.

The festive red hues celebrating the nation’s great holiday make Hanoi more vibrant than ever. That very color has also been artistically infused by National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) into its limited-edition NCB Visa Platinum “Pride” Card, launched to mark the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day — a symbolic tribute to history and a message of faith in the future.

More than just a financial product, this special Visa card embodies national spirit, pride, and aspiration for a prosperous, powerful Vietnam. For many, it has become an essential companion — a symbol of pride appearing in every travel photo during the National Day holiday.

Like a thread connecting generations to the glorious pages of national history, the NCB Visa Platinum “Pride” Card is presented in two versions, each recreating unforgettable “milestones” of the country’s past.

The first version features the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945 — a defining moment marking the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, with the resounding affirmation: “Vietnam has the right to be free and independent, and in fact, has become a free and independent country.”

The second version depicts a radiant map of Vietnam set against the background of the Dong Son bronze drum — symbolizing national integrity and the spirit of reaching outward to the world, inheriting historical values, and building a new era of stability and prosperity for the nation.

“Behind every design detail of the NCB Visa Platinum ‘Pride’ Card lies not only dedication but also patriotism, faith in the future, and eternal pride in the nation’s journey toward independence, freedom, and happiness — values that every NCB member wishes to share and spread,” emphasized a representative of NCB.

In modern life, card payments have become a habit. Yet each time a customer uses the “Pride” Card, they are not merely making a payment for a meal, a trip, or a ticket — they are also making a proud declaration of identity: “I am Vietnamese.”

The feeling is even more moving when holding this deep red card — the color of the national flag — while strolling through Hanoi’s streets adorned with flags and flowers, or pausing under the historic Flag Tower. It is a moment that makes anyone exclaim, “What could be more beautiful than this?”

But it is not only the North’s autumn that is filled with joy; in the sunlit South, pride in Independence Day also radiates across every street, every smile, and every image — a shared emotion of pride that shines nationwide.

Eighty years have passed, and the nation has transformed remarkably. Yet the memory of the red flag with a golden star waving in Hanoi’s sky that autumn remains unforgettable, as vividly as the verses once memorized by every schoolchild: “The autumn sun over Ba Dinh, shining golden on Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum, the sky still so clear, the day of the Declaration of Independence.” Those words continue to inspire generations to cherish and preserve this proud legacy.

Pride is one of the most uplifting human emotions — and among the greatest “heritages” we have inherited through centuries of nation-building and defense is precisely this pride: pride in being descendants of the Dragon and Fairy, united, resilient, and indomitable in our pursuit of independence and freedom.

The “Pride” Card is the next product in NCB’s “Pride” series launched in 2025. Earlier, the Bank made a strong impression with the “Reunification” Visa Card, introduced on April 30 to mark the 50th anniversary of national reunification. NCB’s “Pride” line is the first card series in the market to harmonize modern financial value with national historical spirit — a meaningful reminder of history, so that each time one holds the card, they feel a renewed closeness and pride in the name “Vietnam.”

As a special token of appreciation during these historic days, NCB is offering customers who open a new Visa Platinum “Pride” Card an exclusive gift set including a passport wallet, luggage tag, and AirTag — elegant, practical accessories symbolizing the spirit of Vietnamese journeys across the world. The package also comes with a thank-you letter and a vivid red card mailer — the color of strength, aspiration, and determination to stride forward into a new era.
